Two graduates take a moment on the grass to let the wave of emotions wash over them. I've been photographing Middlebury College's Commencement ceremony for 13 years, but this image from 2010 stands out as one of my favorites.

One of the last sheets of 4x5 Fujichrome Velvia 50 I shot was this frame of a autumn maple tree on the north side of Painter Hall on the Middlebury College campus. Velvia had an absolutely bonkers saturation curve, so shadows on the north side of buildings would go deep blue while warm tones stayed warm.
